The Explorers were doing great with keeping their winning streak of six.
Let’s go back to the beginning though. The Explorers won their first game of the season on August 29, 2025 against Duchesne with a score of 56-7. The season was off to an excellent start and once again, fans had reason to believe. Fast forward to the end of the season when the Explorers played against Roxana for the annual homecoming game.
Despite not ending with a victory, they were still alive for the playoffs.
The task was daunting since the Explorers were facing Carterville on November 1, 2025, who were undefeated. The boys put up a good fight with touchdowns from sophomore Don’Tay Longstreet and senior Jack Rea.
Don’Tay Longstreet also contributed with a fumble recovery, while senior Luke Brown added another fumble recovery for the Explorers.
Even though they ultimately fell short, they still ended the season off with a 5-5 overall record. Congratulations to a great football season. On Explorers!
