Maggie Pruetzel is a freshman here at Marquette Catholic High School. Maggie recently qualified for the IHSA State Finals. Maggie says that qualifying for state felt pretty cool and that it was a learning experience that helped her improve in her golfing. She says that if she could have lunch with her favorite professional golfer it would be Tiger Woods, because of his work ethic and his great skills in golfing.
Maggie has been golfing since the age of five and she recently began playing PGA this past summer. She practices golf everyday and she tries to go to the course everyday. As Maggie progresses in her golf journey her father is with her every step of the way, she says that her father helps her stay positive.
Maggie and her father both share a love for golf. She also plays soccer and basketball. During her free time Maggie enjoys going fishing. Maggie also says that her faith also attributes to her while playing golf she says
“you have to stay calm and know what you’re doing is right.”
