More than 1000

Allie Weiner reached a milestone that every basketball player dreams of: scoring her 1,000th career point. But for Allie, the moment was about more than a number on the scoreboard. It was the result of four years of dedication, early mornings, late nights, and a promise she made to herself and her dad back in her freshman year.

From the start of high school, reaching 1,000 points was a stretch goal, something to work toward day by day. Now, as a senior at Marquette Catholic School, Allie looks back on that goal with gratitude and pride. Hitting 1,000 points didn’t change who she is as a player; it reminded her why she plays. With the milestone achieved, her focus has shifted to what matters most: winning games, growing as a team, and finishing the season strong together.

As a senior leader, Allie’s impact goes far beyond points scored. The legacy she hopes to leave behind is one built
on hard work. She believes that talent alone is never enough and that success comes from effort, discipline, and outworking your opponent. That mindset has guided her throughout her career and is something she hopes younger players will carry with them long after she graduates.

Allie’s drive doesn’t stop when the basketball season ends. This spring, she plans to try something new by joining track and field as a thrower, excited to challenge herself in a different way. She is also starting a basketball training business as part of her CEO class, hoping to give back to the game by helping others develop their skills through training sessions.

Looking ahead, Allie wants to build on this milestone with team success, hoping to back it up with a strong record and a Regional plaque. After high school, she plans to attend the University of Mississippi, where she will major in Exercise Science on a pre–Physical Therapy track. Her goal is to help injured athletes return to their sport healthier and stronger than before, combining her love for athletics with a passion for helping others.

What motivates Allie most as she enters this next chapter is her commitment to being just 1% better every day. Whether it’s on the court, in the classroom, or in life, she believes small improvements add up to big results. Her 1,000th point is proof of that mindset, and a reminder that this milestone is not the end of her journey, but just
another strong step forward.
